Phillip Island

This scene could be almost any rocky coast in the world, but it is actually Phillip Island in Australia.

An easy day trip from Melbourne, we specifically visited for the nightly penguin show. Every evening, the Little Penguins return from the sea with food for the young they left on the beach and quiet, well-behaved people are allowed to watch the ritual. We ended up seated right next to a nest filled with babies. We didn't know the little guys were so close until their parents started feeding them. Not only did we get a wonderful private view, we were also able to enjoy the special "perfume" of hungry penguins.
